Lip Dermal Fillers

A professional treatment to enhance your lips, giving a better shape and a more voluminous "pout".

For lip augmentation, dermal fillers are injected into the outside of the lip (vermilion border) and into the body of the lips to reshape, volumise and add definition to the lips.

How Dermal Lip Fillers Work

Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure to give you fuller, plumper lips. A dermal filler containing hyaluronic acid is injected into the lips. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar found in the body which helps increase volume in the lips.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can improve the appearance of your lips by adding shape, structure and volume. Once injected, the gel in the filler supports and shapes the tissues of the lips.

By controlling the amount of filler injected and the precise location of the injection sites, we can control the amount of lip volume and the shape of the lips.

Lip Enhancement Procedure

Before injecting dermal fillers, we apply a topical or local numbing agent to ease discomfort. If required, nerve block injections can be given before the treatment, completely numbing the lips in a similar way to the anaesthetic injections that you get at the dentist.

Very fine needles are used to administer the injections into your lips. You will notice the difference immediately and after a few days your lips will feel totally natural.

The entire process is completed in approximately 30 minutes.

Effects of Lip Dermal Fillers

The temporary side effects of the procedure should only last a few days and may include swelling, bruising and redness/tenderness.

The long term results of your lip enhancement treatment are noticeable immediately and can last anywhere from six to nine months.
