A cannula is a very small hollow tube with a blunt, rounded tip and a little exit-hole in the side. It is attached to the end of a filler syringe and can be threaded gently into the skin layers, pushing blood vessels to the side, without the risk of puncturing like a sharp needle.

A dermal filler containing hyaluronic acid is injected directly into the areas of the cheek required to plump, smooth and lift, creating the desired strong facial contour. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar found in the body which helps increase volume in the skin.

Dermal filler containing hyaluronic acid is also used to stiffen the skin on the jawline and to define the chin and jowl area, creating a face lift effect.
